Love This Blog in General?

Earlier this week I got a comment from someone named Jenny (at least, she claims to be named Jenny).  She said that she didn’t know where to put a “general love-your-blog comment,” so she told me that she loved my blog, in general, within the comments section of a random post.

Hmmm, I thought to myself, might there be others out there who love my blog in general and want to tell me?  Gosh, I continued to think, if there’s even one other person, I should create a page solely for this purpose.  I am, after all, a sad, little man who thrives on the praise of strangers.

So, if you’ve been reading and haven’t had anything specific to say in my comments section, but have, in general, enjoyed your time here, then this is your place to comment.  Feel free to be as complimentary as your imagination will allow.  I can take it.

(No criticism, please.  I was going to create an additional page for this, but I’ve reached my wordpress page limit, aw shucks)

  1. I have decided, after careful stalking, to add you to my blogroll.

    Your life is officially complete.

    You’re welcome.

I knew something felt different. Like I’m suddenly one with the universe. A deep rumbling inside me. I thought it might be that burrito…am glad to hear it’s this. Thank you.

  2. Jenny says:

Yes, my name is indeed Jenny and I am honored to be the inspiration for your new and much needed Love-Your-Blog-In-General comment section. Also, I do indeed love your blog in general. Not only do I love your blog in general but I consistently love your blog in general, you never disappoint. The complete and utter randomness of your insights gives me hope that I may not be totally out of my mind. I can relate to what you’re saying with utter familiarity (which concerns me a little). I enjoy your blog very much, it is obvious that you are a brilliant writer. Perhaps you should consider adding a “I Think You’re a Brilliant Writer” comment section. I am currently working on an Excellent Blog Responder merit badge and your noticement (is that a word?), let me rephrase, acknowledgement of my commenting need is much appreciated. May I be considered your Number One Fan?
With much praise and back-slapping all ’round…,
    Your (unofficial) Number One Fan

    • Makya McBee says:

Jenny, I can assure you that if you are a fan of my writing that you not totally out of your mind. As you are the first person to officially request the title of number one fan, I think there’s a good chance you’ll get it. For obvious reasons, there’s a ten day waiting period, but I’m rooting for you.

  3. Outlier Babe says:

Love your stupid blog. Impossible to be so highly amusing throughout posts at such frequent posting intervals. Somehow, cheating must be involved. Even your friggin’ fans are entertaining (JENNY!!!). Damn you to hell, McBee.

  4. suzpain says:

I genuinely like your blog in general and specifically

  5. Jenny says:

May I ask, why Patton Oswalt? Random or purposeful?

(In all honesty, I had to look up the spelling of purposeful to make sure I wouldn’t embarrass myself) (Then I had to look up embarrass)…and I’m normally a good speller.

    • Makya McBee says:

Random with a purpose. Everything I said in my first blog post is true – about us attending the same college with similar goals, only he had a head start. (I’m normily a good spiller to).

  6. Joann says:

If I tell you I knew you first before Patton Oswalt, will it make you feel good? 😀

I forgot how I came to your site. What I remember is that I enjoyed your posts so I bookmarked this site! Love it! 🙂

    • Makya McBee says:

Yes. It does make me feel good. I also like how you employed various degrees of smiley emoticons, with the first little guy seeming to enjoy himself much more than the second. Thanks for taking the time to let me know you enjoy the site (insert smiley face with an even bigger smile).

  7. Stephanie says:

I’m a fan! Thought you might like to know that you are the #1 entry on Yahoo when you enter “Makya”! : ) Love your website – love what you’re doing with your talent. : )

  8. Jenny says:

I visit your blog often, thank you for hanging in there with it. As disappointing as it is to visit and be denied a fresh post, I am never disappointed to revisit old favorites. On another note, may I ask, if you were to describe yourself using only one word, what would that word be? One second thought, perhaps I should ask which animal you would chose to be if you could be any animal or maybe it’s more casual and less invasive to just ask what your favorite color is. Anything to get those creative juices flowing. As ever, your Number One Fan

  9. Jenny says:

Come back to us. You are missed.

  10. Kim says:

How convenient you have a general love section. I generally love it.

  11. Anita Capri says:

Makya, how very right you are. I have actually written a book about this called The Shopping Cart People (Synergebooks) because this is one of my greatest pet peeves and something which I fear, says something about the state of our society in this day and age. I’m just glad I’m not the only one speaking out about this! You should give it a read if you’re at all interested!

Who am I to deny blatant self promotion? I’m a huge fan of it. Usually, I lean towards blatant self promotion of myself, but beggars can’t be choosers. Or so I’ve been told. Now that I actually think about it, I feel very strongly that beggars must make multiple choices every day. So. Never mind.

  12. Jenny says:

It is my fervent hope that you have decreased your blogging time due to an overwhelming demand for your written words (for money). Your perspective and wit are missed.

    • Makya McBee says:

Jenny – Close. I have decreased my blogging time due to an overwhelming demand for money (from my debtors). I very much appreciate the compliment. If there were only a few hundred thousand more that shared your opinion, we’d be in business.
