I’m a freelance copywriter for entertainment marketing companies in Los Angeles.  You know the part in that commercial for the newest summer blockbuster – “And only one man can stop him” – I write that stuff.  I also write screenplays (as yet unproduced), books (as yet unpublished) and this very blog (poised to propel me to international stardom).

While I’m not apt to get riled up, there are things in the world that irk me.  Things that go unnoticed by others.  Things that need to be confronted.  Things that need to be defeated.

And only one man can stop them.

I am enjoying the blog mate. Good stuff all around. I think you have the right content to make it “big”. Or at least pander to the likes of me. Good Job.

  2. How fun to be the person behind trailer writing! Recently, my work did a fun side project spoofing on Christian-ese language and blockbuster trailers, and I co-scripted it (you can check it here: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150304738141285). While we poked fun at the genre, I definitely enjoy trailers–almost more than the movies themselves…

  3. Love the blog. I’m in the same boat about the screenplays and I studied copywriting. I also work in advertising and used to do branded entertainment (which I want to get back into). I think I can relate to your POV. It’s always cool to find another blogger with similar tastes.

  4. You know I started to read this blog, because it was on my homepage, and I said to myself, “What the heck, I might like it.” And you know I don’t just like it, I love it. It’s interesting, it’s funny, and unique.

Ms. French – Thank you so much for your kind consideration. I have so many people to thank…but none of this would have been possible without me. So I just wanted to take a moment to officially thank myself for having created such a lovely blog. Yay. I did it.
